      Summer 2020 Teen Creative Writing Virtual Intensives

      For Teens who love to write! Now in our 8th year!

      COVID-19 WON’T STOP US. We have an amazing and interactive virtual Summer Intensive in the works.

      Students will develop their voices and writing ideas in a generous, creative environment with professional authors as instructors. Each week they’ll choose from two different genres to focus on - fiction, poetry, memoir, fantasy/historical fiction, and more. They’ll focus on their own writing projects as well as new work inspired by creative exercises and prompts (with plenty of offline breaks to keep them from Zoom-zoning). They’ll receive supportive, constructive feedback from instructors and peers. Literary inter-activities and adventures, and a virtual reading on Fridays for family and friends will round out the week. They’ll also have the chance to submit their work for publication in The Writers Circle's online journal.

      Three week-long intensives writing daily, 9:00 AM-3:30 PM
      Week 1: July 20-24
      Week 2: July 27-31
      Week 3: August 3-7
