      Tea 101: Taste + Learn

Hosted by Timothy Hsu, also of The Mandarin's Tea Room The most common plant medicine originated in China more than 2,000 years ago, when Buddhist monks spread knowledge of growing and making tea. The tea plant, or camellia sinensis, is known to calm the mind, aid digestion, and heal body tissue. We are proud to continue the tradition of sharing these medicinal benefits with fellow seekers. Together, we will explore the history of tea, the basic techniques of brewing it, and the nuances of its varieties so that you, too, can make the art of tea a lifelong practice. This introductory course is offered in one, 90-minute session. Seating is limited to four persons. Teas are sourced direct from Nepal and Anxi, exclusive to Soup cafe. Please remember to snack before class. We look forward to sipping with you!
